Compare and contrast - a pretty good CNN / SI article, and an average effort at the Boston Globe. At least in the CNN / SI article, he admits having an editor, but that's about all to note for either column.

The only problem with Shanks article on CNN/SI is that it is already old news.
Didn't we hear about the Lee signing over the weekend? Wasn't it already analyzed from every angle by numerous pundits?
Nothing orignal was written by Shank.
