It Must Be Tiring

Dan goes three days in a row and it is clear that he is wiped out. Dan previews tonight's big matchup between the Celtics and Lakers. Not much there, just a few obvious observations (Did you know the Celtics lost to the Lakers on Christmas, which was the start of a 2-7 skid?); a patented Dan space filler, using long quotations; and a 20 year old anecdote to end things.

The anecdote at the end was priceless, the crowning vainglorious touch by this miserable sad sack.

It seems like something he had been desperate to put in a column for years, and at long last saw his opportunity.

It is pathetic, CHB sounds like a kid showing off an autograph.

Dan, nobody cares that some jock called you on the phone twenty years ago.

Why are the Globe editors enabling this clown?

...and will be without 21-year-old mastodon Andrew Bynum...

Kudos for a a creative use of the word mastodon. It can also be used to describe Shank's career curve and the Globe's business trajectory, both nearing extinction...

More stupidity, as the hatred for the columnist overtakes common sense.

It is worth of note that a baseball player worthy of being seriously discussed as a Hall of Fame candidate called a sportswriter he didn't know that well to get tickets to a regular season basketball game a continent away from his residence.

But when your major objective in life in finding bad stuff to say about Shaughnessy, apparently context and content don't matter.

OB:

You forgot to say, "The Globe ain't going anywhere."

Your pal,

Timmy

LOL! Actually, The Globe will take bailout money to stay afloat. Obama will say, "Now you need to do what we say in exchange for that money." Hahaha...They already DO! Shaughnessy will be one of the very few within the Boston sports media cabal sent to Florida to cover the Red Sox. Of course, he'll have a big 'Ft. Myers' dateline to start his columns...you know, to get the point across to everyone and anyone that he was 'worthy enough' to be sent there.

gee OB, you have a firm grasp of the obvious....what did you think this was?...a Shank fan site?....we all hate Shank, and nobody is trying to hide it.....I think YOU need to find another site to frequent....
