Isn't it funny that Shank's been pulling his punches criticizing Red Sox players ever since John Henry bought the Globe andGood luck to the team that falls for him. Overrated. Master of clean inning 3-run lead save vs Orioles. High leverage? Real pressure? Not so much https://t.co/DvTJZo1aSH

Shank's Most Recent Red Sox Whipping Post
That would be the apparently soon-to-be former closer Craig Kimbrel:
told Shank to shut his piehole chooses to step up the criticism on them once they're on the outs with the team? He'll now rip him every now and then like he's been doing to Adrian Gonzalez whenever his name makes the news.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat - III (At Least)
There's no horse too dead for Shank to beat on:
Three run lead. Clean inning. Bunch of rays. This is kimbrel at his dominant best.

Weak Sarcasm Used
The Red Sox have the best record in baseball with a 84-35 record, so naturally Shank needs to complain about something with the team:
3 run lead. Clean inning. Bunch of orioles due up. This is when Craig Kimbrel is the greatest closer ever

You expect Shank to look up icky numbers? He’s been closing professional baseball games for 8 years averaging 42 saves and a 1.86 era. This isnteven trolling, its ignorant.

Big ask, that one...I beg of you, try to enjoy ANYTHING

Expect nothing less from Shank, and nothing more. That's probably a correct take.....but coming from you makes it seem so nasty and small....

The Obligatory Craig Kimbrel Spring Training Column
We expect the proforma Red Sox spring training columns from Shank, but this one's just a bit different:
FORT MYERS, Fla. — You are a famous professional athlete, as good at your craft as just about anybody on the planet. You make bags of cash and fans scream your name when you come in from the bullpen. You are 29 years old and you play for a first-place team in a city that loves the sport you play. Life is good. Life is great. Life is perfect. This hits home with Shank - some of you may remember the Clementine column, which was the point where Shank stopped being an asshole to Roger Clemens.
And then you find out your newborn baby girl has a serious congenital heart condition, and everything changes as she fights for her life daily at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
You stop thinking about baseball. You stop thinking about everything other than your newborn baby girl and your wife. You abandon thoughts of the four-seam fastball and the Yankee lineup and you learn the language of anatomy and cardiology.
