They’ve got players from Weymouth, Boxford, Springfield, Reading, Braintree, Dorchester, Shrewsbury, and Needham. They’ve got a skater from Biddeford, Maine, and another one from Wallingford, Conn.So glad Shank's shredding that parochial New England attitude...

We Are The Champions
Boston College wins its fourth national championship in hockey last night, defeating Wisconsin 5 - 0. Shank waxes ecstatic about the composition of the team:

The surest sign that Shank has lost the parochial New England attitude - if the Patriots win another Superbowl and Shank comes out with a piece lamenting that fact -
"Today there is no day or night, no dark or light, no black or white, only shades of gray. And today there is joy for the New England Patriots yet one has to strain to feel it. Yes, it was 2003 all over again, between the overtime win over the Titans and this rematch with the Carolina Panthers, yet the sense of believing in this Patriots team is conspicuously missing. So much has happened since the last time the Patriots and Panthers met in the Superbowl - Spygate, poor personnel decisions, the refusal of The Hooded God to adapt - that have taken a lot of joy out of this win. It's become impossible to root for Bill Belichick anymore - he threw out Deion Branch and got Randy Moss; now he has another ring. Hooray, a mercenary helped get him another ring."
