Whenever big news happens, I like to invite the readers to guess what Dan will write. So with a day to ponder it, what will Dan have to say about Brady's injury? What will be the oh so clever nickname? What curse will Dan dream up? Tell us in the comments section.
The immortal Chris Simms/Matt Cassell
ReplyDelete...all I know is that somewhere in his column he'll find a way to work in...." the Red Sox are STILL more POPULAR and Bob Kraft is JEALOUS!!"
ReplyDelete....Shank's pretty lazy. I predict he'll go with the old, "We'll see how much of genius that nasty Belichick is now!" angle
ReplyDeleteI was going to chime in but I am too late. The Shank has spoken and his great effort is on boston.com. It is very Shank like - the best Shankism is the way he indirectly blames Kevin Faulk's pot arrest for the Brady injury.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope Cassel silences all his critics - most of whom who have demoted the Patriots from Super Bowl contenders to a non playoff team. We shall see
trite.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read it yet, my guess would have been the old gloom and doom, sky is falling tone he took after the Red Sox lost game three of the last Yankees series (no matter that they won the first two and held a large lead in the wild card standings).
ReplyDeleteTo Dave: Still think the Patriots are a playoff team, mostly because the rest of the division sucks ... but it is doubtful they can beat the likes of Indy and San Diego with Matt Cassell at QB.
ReplyDeleteIf Cassel keeps playing well and the Patriots keep winning everything in sight, expect Shank to pontificate -
ReplyDelete"It now means that the seven seasons of ecstacy felt by New England fans were not the doing of the cutest Brady since Mike Lookinland.
