Blessed, Yet Cursed at the Same Time

As Dan points out, these are special times to be a sports fan in Boston. Then, why in God's name are we stuck with this lazy and arrogant bum? Don't click on the article, don't ever again click on his articles. Ignore him. Tell his editor (jsullivan@globe.com) what you think of Shank's condescending and spiteful attitude.

That being said, this column wasn't bad.

  1. My these commentaries seem to have hit a low point.

    So's your mother.

    Yawn.

  2. What the hell is anyone supposed to comment on, when Dan has stretched the same three columns over three weeks?

  3. In the future, I'll try to be more creative in the ways I state that Shank sucks, is boring, predictable, spiteful, vindictive, insulting to his readers, and recycles his articles...

  4. OB:

Why you gotta go and talk shite about my mom?

    Your pal,

  5. OB - it is always good to hear from you. Even you have to admit that Shank has been really bad of late. The one article that stands out on the plus side is the one about Bill and Luke Walton. The rest have been a meandering bloody boring mess. He has been so bad that I almost feel sorry for the guy

  6. Dan Shaughnessy: Above-the-fold columns scotch-taped together by a below-the-fold writer.

  7. Shanks column tomorrow is bound to be a "I hate Curt Schilling" classic.

  8. Yeah, he'll note with much fanfare that 'My career wasn't over when I got a blister on one of my fingers back in 1997.' Most certainly, Shank's 'tone' will be that he has 'won' the 'battle' with Schilling. Read it when it comes out and tell me if you agree...

  9. He went ahead and accused "Schill" of blind siding management by making the surgery announcement on the D&C show.

  10. I refuse to read Shank's column today, knowing for certain that it will come across with an 'I WIN!!!' tone.

  11. He actually took an "I'll miss the old loudmouth" tone and pointed out his achievements but had to attack his "Paid Gig" on WEEI even while acknowledging it goes to charity and of course attack Schilling's blog ... God forbid anyone but a reported (Bob Ryan, Rob Bradford) have a Blog ... read Bradfords yesterday for silly minutia of Schillings surgery.

  12. Shank gets worse and worse - he can't stand that Schilling is more right than he is.
