Game One

Dan has a look at LeBron James's off night in Game One of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals.

A decent piece with some good quotations from James. Nothing spectacular.

  1. First, I would like to apologize to OB about my 'kibbies' rant paragraph from yesterday's post. It was quite intemperate and hypocritical as well, as I admonished him for ad hominems, then I went and did something just as bad. I won't let that happen again. I'm glad no one pointed it out until I had a chance to offer an apology to him.

    Second, Dan is a douche.

Third, King James did have an off night. Thank you, Dan ShaughnessO'bvious.

Fourth, I will not be reading the archives for a while. I went to a sub shop for lunch and looked at the menu. I could have sworn I saw one that said 'Shank & Cheese'. That's a sign I have to stop something, right?

Yes, I had my eye exam in October; no major changes, shank you very much...

Thanks for the note and the graciousness to apologize.

SHank and Cheese - that is pretty funny

  3. Dave - the apology is mandatory. I was more interested in attacking OB than actually criticizing him. Completely uncool. I just hope he accepts my apology, then we can get on with the pro / anti-Dan bashing!

I'm just hoping I never walk into D'Angelo's and actually order a Shank & Cheese. Then again, I'm wondering what a Shank Bomb would taste like...

  5. So anyone got an opinion on Tomase. Talk about IT hitting the fan for him. At least when Dan takes a shot at some one, you know that it is coming from his wrinkly old brain instead of being bombed in from another direction.

I'm seeing this quote "The worst kind of journalism" or a variant of it on a lot of other sites today. Any thoughts?

  6. No apologies needed, Roger. This site is, by definition, engaged in argumentum ad hominem, but should you prefer to deal in facts, perception and reality, such is to be preferred.
