Just Win Baby!

Because that is all it will take for Dan to change his tune.

On Friday, it was claims that ring hollow, a missing team owner, and an arrogant organization. Three days after "one of the most impressive victories of his storied career", it is comparisons to Auerbach and "see you in Arizona in February."

What happened to that brave columnist Joe Sullivan so loved? Dan is simply sitting at his desk with his finger in the air to determine which way the wind is blowing. There is no chance that Dan's column would have sounded anything like today's if the Patriots had lost.

  1. Shank has his finger in the air? That's not what Belichick's videotape showed - it showed Shank with his finger somewhere else, in the nether region with his head.

  2. OB, come on, you know where Shank's finger is - it's where you keep yours, too.

  3. BTW, has Shank flip-flopped on Randy Moss yet?

  4. Hello? Hello? Can anyone translate the original post from Esperanto? Hello? A little help here please!

  5. OB:

    Translation: Shank sucks.

    Okay?

P.S.: Esperanto? You esoteric rascal, you!

  6. Apparantly Obtuse Bruce has had his finger up the ass so long he can't even tell what a subtle jab about it with regard to Shank looks like.

  7. Obtuse,

Dan's attitude towards the Patriots and the scandal did a 180 turn after the Patriots beat the Chargers. Dan didn't have the courage of his convictions.

  8. dbvader's reading comprehension skills have never been impressive, but that is to be expected when everything is viewed through a veil of hate. Unfortunately, his inability to comprehend what he reads has now turned his writing into pure gibberish.

  9. OB:

"Veil of Hate" was, I think, a very popular
punk band in the eighties. Thanks for reminding us!

    Your pal,

    Tim

  10. Hey Bruce, with your lack of comprehension skills at all, lecturing dbvader or anyone else about reading comprehension skills is out of line. Try seeing reality, Dakota-Bruce.

Nothing wrong with 80's punk rock! Hey! Ho! Let's go!

    :)

  12. OB,

Would you like to provide any examples to back up your claim? I shouldn't expect any because you have never done so before, but I am an optimist.

  13. I love how Shank wrote an article about the Celtics instead of writing one about the Red Sox who just won the AL East.

I mean, the Celts do look good on paper but they haven't even played a game yet. Wouldn't the AL East Champion Red Sox be a bigger story? Hell, he could have made some snide comments on the celebration dances of Youk and Papelbon. Or the "Big Blowhard" dousing the fans with champagne while not pitching in the season finale. Or bore us to death with bon mots about the 1995 AL East Champs.

  14. Paul, I'm surprised Shank hasn't addressed the "wrong messages" the Red Sox are sending "the children" by spraying shampagne everywhere in celebration.

  15. BTW, what will Shank say because Tim Wakefield had to be left off the playoff roster?
